FAQ
When should I start adding nutrients, when I'm cultivating with Batmix? Batmix is fertilised for about six weeks. When you need to start giving nutrients depends on conditions such as the amount of light per m2, the type of plant and other factors. You can start giving more nutrients once the leaves are more yellos, thats after about six weeks.
Plagron has three organic soils that are pre-fertilised for 6 weeks. How do I choose the right one of these three? Because of its fertilisation through Bat Guano, Bat Guano gives your plants a strong taste and smell. You should choose Batmix when quality is the most important to you. Royalmix contains a selection of natural solid fertilisers that release the nutrients when the plant needs them. Because of this you can expect a higher development and thus a higher yield. Choose for Royalmix when you want to grow organically and when you want to go for the highest yield with a natural fruity taste. Plagron Allmix has a finer texture than Batmix and Royalmix. Because of this it can better hold more water. This makes Plagron Allmix the right choice if you want to grow organically, in high temperatures, small pots or with high light intensity. Furthermore Plagron Allmix is ideal if you plan to reuse your soil and want to upgrade it with Supermix.
Should I adjust the pH value if i grow with Batmix? No, combined with our 100 % NATURAL Grow Style you don't have to regulate the pH value.
I read on the website that I have to rinse Batmix before using it. Why do I have to do this and how do I do this? Our Batmix is maximally fertilised. For young plants that are not yet accustomed to high EC-values, it may be difficult when they are suddenly planted into a maximum fertilised soil. Therefore we recommend to flush the Batmix before putting the plant into the Batmix. This is done by filling the pot (eg 10 liters) with Batmix and rinsing it with 5 to 10 liters of water. After this, the plant can be planted directly. The fertilisers that are absorbed directly will be flushed out with the water. Within the following days, the EC value in Batmix will rise again and gradually the non absorbable fertilisers will be released.
Can I mix Batmix with full ground when I'm growing ourdoors? Yes, We advise you to mix Batmix with full ground when your soil outside is very clayey. If your soil is very airy we would recommend you to use Bat Guano.
I grow on Batmix. Can I start with plant nutrition like Alga Bloom after 4 weeks? Batmix is fertilised for 6 weeks. At a normal development of your plant, you only have to start with adding plant nutrition like Alga Bloom after 6 weeks. See the 100 % NATURAL Grow Schedule. If you choose to give extra nutrition ( sooner than 6 weeks) we advise you to take a good look at the leaves of your plant. If the lower leaves (old leaves) of your plant change its colour from light green to yellow, you can start with adding Alga Bloom.
